911 Dispatcher

The Ohio County 911 Central Dispatch is currently accepting applications and resumes for a Full-time dispatcher for immediate hire. Telecommunications experience preferred but not required.

Starting pay is $15.05/hr and will increase to $16.05 after training is complete.

Minimum qualifications include but not limited to:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.

• Must type at least 30 wpm and have computer skills

• Must have valid driver’s license

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to deal with stressful situations

• Strong communication

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen tests and background check

• Must be dependable, discreet, and can multi-task

Applicant must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays. In addition to in-house training, there is a required four-week training at the DOCJT Academy in Richmond KY (home on weekends) that will be completed within 6 months of hire date.
